Calling All Kids
The Guelph Horticultural Society Youth Group, a.k.a. "THE ROOTS" is for young people ages 7 - 14 years. Members learn about all aspects of gardening, flower arranging and nature in general during their monthly meetings. The young people enjoy both classroom meetings in the horticultural department of College Heights Secondary School as well as garden tours and field trips. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month from April to November. Meetings take place at College Heights unless otherwise posted. As the group is sponsored by the Guelph Horticultural Society the annual membership of $10.00 is all that is required. As a matter of policy the Society requires all youth leaders to undergo a police check.
